1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, authenticating via OAuth (including Google Sign-In or GitHub OAuth), opening the CodeForge platform, accessing any in-browser WebContainer workspace, or utilizing our cloud developer infrastructure (collectively, the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms").

If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an entity, business, or organization, you represent and warrant that you possess the requisite legal authority to bind such organization to these Terms. If you do not agree to all provisions contained herein, you must refrain from accessing or using CodeForge immediately.

2. Platform Description & WASM Architecture

CodeForge is an online cloud developer environment designed to execute WebAssembly (WASM)-backed micro-containers ("WebContainers") inside client web browsers. The Service enables real-time editing, node module installation, fullstack app execution, hot module reloading (HMR), terminal operations, and AI-assisted pair programming.

Technical Execution Scope

  • In-browser code execution runs inside isolated browser WebAssembly sandboxes.
  • Package downloads and lockfile resolutions are cached locally via IndexedDB and Vercel Blob storage.
  • CodeForge reserves the right to impose concurrency limits (`VFS_CONCURRENCY`, `maxSockets`) to maintain platform performance and container stability.

3. Google OAuth & Authentication Standards

When authenticating using Google OAuth or GitHub OAuth, CodeForge requests access strictly to basic identity scopes required to authenticate your account and personalize your workspace:

openid

Verifies secure session identity

Google API Services User Data Policy & Limited Use Disclosure

CodeForge strictly adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data obtained via OAuth is used exclusively to establish your CodeForge user profile and deliver workspace features. CodeForge will NEVER sell Google user data, use Google user data for advertising, or transfer Google user data to third-party data brokers under any circumstances.
